Once upon a time, a crow lived in a forest. She loved to sing. One day, in the morning she found a piece of cheese. The crow took the cheese and sat on the branch of a tree. The crow wanted to eat that piece of cheese peacefully. She was about to enjoy her breakfast. Suddenly a fox appeared from the bushes. He saw a piece of cheese in the beak of the crow. It watered the fox’s mouth.
The fox wanted to get that piece of cheese. He got an idea to butter up the crow. The fox said your voice is so beautiful. I love to listen to your songs. if you sing a lovely song for me I will be pleased. It will make this morning more beautiful.
The crow liked the buttering words the fox said for her. She decided to sing a song for the fox. She opened her beak to sing and cawed so loudly. Just then, the piece of cheese fell from her beak. The fox caught the piece of cheese and ran off with it.
As the fox ran away, the crow realized she had been tricked. The cleverness of the fox fooled the crow. She left with nothing at all.
Moral: Do not slip on the buttering words of others.
