Once upon a time, a boy was walking through a field. He saw a pitcher full of filberts. He was pleased to see the pitcher full of filberts. The boy put his hand into a pitcher to get some filberts. However, he was not able to get a handful of filberts. He only managed to get a few of the filberts. The boy did not want to give up. He tried again but was still not satisfied.
The third time, the boy decided to put both his hands into a pitcher full of filberts. He was hoping to pull out a larger amount. Unfortunately, when he tried to get more filberts. He could not get his hands out of the pitcher because the neck of the pitcher was too narrow. The boy started crying.
Just then, a stranger passed by him. He saw the situation of the boy and gave him some advice. The stranger told him that instead of being greedy to take the larger amount. You should get a few filberts. You may take some more filberts later”.
The boy realized his mistake. He decided to follow the stranger’s advice. He took half the filberts out. He easily got his hand out from the pitcher. By giving up his greed to get more. he did not lose any filberts.
