The Sparrow and the Ant
One hot day, a little ant fell into a river.
She shouted, “Help! I cannot swim!”
A kind sparrow saw her from a tree.
He quickly dropped a small leaf into the water.
The ant climbed on it and reached the land.
“Thank you, my friend,” said the ant.
From that day, they became good friends.
Later, a hunter tried to catch the sparrow.
The ant bit the hunter’s foot.
“Ouch!” he cried and dropped the net.
The sparrow flew away safely.
Both friends smiled.
“Kindness always returns,” said the sparrow.
