A Moral Story for Class 7 Students
Ali was a hardworking student of Class 7. He loved to write his daily lessons, poems, and small drawings in his blue notebook. It was his favourite notebook because it had all his important notes for the upcoming exams.
One morning, Ali was in a hurry for school. He quickly packed his bag and ran outside, but in the rush, he forgot his notebook on a park bench near his home.
After school, when he opened his bag, he was shocked.
“My notebook is missing! What will I do? My exams are near,” Ali whispered nervously.
He searched everywhere but couldn’t find it. Saddened, he walked home with tears in his eyes.
The next day, Ali saw a boy in the park. The boy looked poor, wearing old clothes, but he was sitting under a tree and reading something with great interest. Ali went closer and was surprised — the boy was reading Ali’s notebook!
Ali became angry at first and shouted, “That’s my notebook! Give it back!”
The poor boy stood up and said politely,
“Brother, I am sorry. I found this notebook on the bench. I don’t go to school, but when I saw these lessons and poems, I tried to read them. I want to learn… but I have no books.”
Ali’s heart softened. He realized that the boy was not stealing — he was learning. Ali smiled and said,
“You can keep this notebook. I will help you study. Every evening, I’ll bring my extra notes for you.”
From that day, Ali and the boy, whose name was Hamza, became good friends. Ali taught him lessons daily, and Hamza helped Ali revise for his exams.
When exams came, Ali scored very well, but more importantly, he had gained something greater — a new friend and the joy of helping someone.
